As we hurtle towards the end of another year, its time to start thinking about our plans for next year. And as all of you know, Porsche related plans are THE priority. biggrin

For me, 2013 will probably be a quiet Porsche year (Due to new addition to the family!), I will be sprucing up the 993 with some paint and getting rid of those rust bubbles around the rear screen. There will be a couple of rear tyres, geo and a minor service of course. The main thing though will be to work less and USE IT MORE!!!!! Oh, and at least one track day.

I am sure that most of you will have much more exciting plans on the way. Please share with PICS!

No sure yet, but looking to get back into the brand after selling my 997 GT3RS and picking up an F car to scratch that itch. Maybe a 991 Carrera S as some lightly used examples are looking very good value. Loved the usability my old 997 Carrera S had over the RS. Was thinking of maybe putting a 'deposit of intent' down on a 991 Turbo or GT3 but not sure about the wait. Still a good few 997 Turbo S cars around, test drove one before an loved the Pdk with paddle shift over the steering wheel mounted buttons I had previously tried. Will have to see how the year pans out!

Molly, as its the 50th anniversary of the 911 im planning to go to many of the events planned, this might include a return trip to Le Mans as the factory has an increased presense in 2013 with the 991 debut.
Should be a year to remember 911 wise.

My garage is empty at the moment as my 944 Turbo S is in the bodyshop until the end of January. Having a few little repairs and a front end respray.

Next job is to put an interior back into it, then attend to a little coolant leak and adjust the savage track-geo to something more suitable for the road.

If the weather has warmed up by then I'll tax it and use it, otherwise I may need to factor in some tyres as Pilot Sport Cups aren't great in the cold and wet!

Then this is the year to do more trackdays - hopefully.

Good question MTR. I plan to start doing some trackdays with this little puppy I have just added to the stable a couple of weeks ago...

Modifications include a 968 Variocam engine, KW Variant 3 suspension, full Powerflex rebushing, 968 M030 antiroll bars, 944 transmission with Quaife limited slip differential, 928 GTS big brake upgrade with Pagid RS29 brake pads, Half cage, Recaro pole position seats, four point harnesses, replacement clutch, sports exhaust system, braided fuel line upgrade, chip, etc etc

Should be fun as it handles like a dream on the road!

Cheers

Quiet year Porsche-wise for me too unfortunately Moll.

Work died off literally 2 weeks after buying the GT3. Nothing new there, that's sub-contract engineering. It's still dead now though so I'll give it until the end of Feb then jump ship. My overtime pays for all my toys and fun so I usually work hard over winter to enjoy the summer. That isn't going to work this year.

Got married in November so now have a honeymoon to pay for too. Wife wants to move out into the sticks a bit further (me too, even more than her) so lots of diy planned to get the house ready to sell.

GT3 is mint bar stonechipping to the front end. Fully intended getting them done by spring but then I'll be an absolute fanny with the car, hence I'm going to learn the car for a year and enjoy it, then get the paint done next winter.

So it's service for me, then just get it as clean as a whistle everywhere. smile

Slodge - You're snapping them up like there's no tomorrow! Have fun with that little weapon! thumbup

If I keep the Spyder I'm aiming to do a Euro trip, whether it be LM or the 'ring for a weekend, or even just a jaunt upto Scotchland (after reading Jackal's account, even more so!).

Not overly bothered by a track day, but I NEED to have a good drive out.

Hey Mark, hope you are enjoying that beaut of a GT3. Have been threatened by SWMBO with very painful consequences if any more Pork machinery hits my drive! I just need to discuss a supplementary 'one in one out' policy... I'm hoping a mate is going to come in halves with me on the 944 which will put me back in the good books.

Fingers crossed 2013 is a good year.

Cheers

Paint the '73, move the '64 on, find a SWB '12 and stick a hot VW motor in it.

Will be joining the '64 boys trip to Spa again. Six of us went last year. Twenty four going this year! Will be spending the next couple of months tweaking the old girl so that she's even better on track. biggrin

Much cheaper than a Porsche motor rebuild, and a lowly 912 is something the boy can drive when he's 17.

As far as buying or selling,no plans at all for 2013.

I will do the odd track day and also attend the huge Porsche Parade which is in Northern Michigan this year. Will attract a lot of significant cars, especially with the 50th anniversary of the 911. I usually do the rallies there which are tough an fun, though I rarely get better than the top 20% score and far from the winning people.

The 911s will get their usual maintenance and I will probably complete the remaining section of Route 66 across the Mojave from Needles to LA in the Cayenne in the Spring.

A couple of bits need doing on the Cayman. I'm having my wheels powder coated black byExcel Wheels when the weather improves and I'm planning a nice red roof lining as the original is just starting to sag a little.

It's my 40th in February and as a late treat me and the missus are off to the Le Mans 24hrs for the weekend on the Wildside raid, I'm really looking forward to that!

I'm still on the lookout for a nice 964 to add to the garage but we're in the process of moving house this month so it'lll take a back seat until the spring at least.

I've got a Porsche only track-day at Blyton Park booked up for April, there's plans being made for a Scottish trip away (with Porsche friends) in Spring (might have to tap up Sunnysidebb for accomodation)and we'll be at the 'Ring again in September and then go down to Stuttgart for the Porsche Museum. There will probably be all sorts of local (North West) nonsense with our local TIPEC group as well.
