falling in love with the look of a 991s!
Discussion
the more i see the 991s the more i like it!still think the rear end is still to panamera(but better than a 981) but saw a basalt black 991s today with the standard wheels which look like larger gt3/spyder wheels and it was lush!
imho it looks so much better/more porsche than a 981 which i still have not fell in love with and prefer the 987.2
it is still £90k for my desired car but if i had that kind of money to spend or more it would be my car of choice over an aston or something else

Totally agree, and having driven a couple now (including the 4S), loving it even more !
Lots of really nice low mileage examples on the Porsche website now including some with the ducktail / aero kit....to quote Heaven 17...."Temptation, it's just the high cost of loving, Temptation"
Edited to say, don't agree about the 981, think they look the business also.

Agree.
Beautiful inside and out. Inside is a huge step up in luxury. Not sure on parts of the rear end, but in all, it's a well balanced piece of art. I hired one in Germany for a few days and could not fault the car, although quite a different character to the 997.2 c2s I own - mainly the docile nature of the 991 when you take it easy was a surprise.

Oggy - How do you compare the 991S to the turbo?Lots of really nice low mileage examples on the Porsche website now including some with the ducktail / aero kit....to quote Heaven 17...."Temptation, it's just the high cost of loving, Temptation"

Having had a C2S on loan for a couple of days, best way I could sum it up is that it felt to me like a cross between a BMW 5 series and a 997 GT3. In that it can be a really nice relaxing high-tech / premium feeling car one minute and then a screaming, direct sports car the next. Loved the PSE and how it picks up above 5000 rpm also. I convinced myself that I really didn't like the 991 when it first came out due to many stupid reasons (like the sunroof, dodgy badging, price, electric steering etc.) however properly driving one changed all that...what a car !!
As a comparison to my 997.1 Turbo....that's a tough one as for me, 991 is something quite different. If I were looking for one car to do both jobs (everyday + sports car), 991 would be perfect. However as a weekend only car, think I would still rather stick with the Turbo (as I'm an acceleration junkie) or go for something more extreme like a GT3 or RS even.
And that's my current dilemma !
Anyway, as I said, is hard to compare but if I had the cash to swop my BMW (daily driver) for one, I would do so in a heart-beat
