Hi all - recently took delivery of my 981 (which I love - much better drive than my 02 plate ever was!) and wandered if anyone out there can recommend an electric golf trolley that will fit in the front boot.

Some previous thread mentioned the GoKart but looking at the folded dimensions I think it's too tight - think it might leave a bonnet bulge ! So was hoping to find someone who has a 981 and a trolley that fits !!

Thanks all.

I think an electric trolley with an easily removable front wheel should be ok , mine would go in
my 987 with front wheel removed.

The trickier question is finding a golf bag that will fit in the rear boot! I have this issue at the moment and after seeing photos of the previous gen Boxsters with clubs seemingly fitting without issue I was hoping for the same, but sadly the rear boot now seems to be quite shallow meaning even my small stand bag won't even fit.

I have no problems with a stand back in the boot, it won't take a proper trolley bag though

Can fit my small summer stand bag in by taking out Driver and woods and putting these in first and then the bag on top (have actually got two sets in my 981 after watching a video on YouTube - Check out the video on YouTube where they fit two fully sets and full size bags !! - but as you say think this boot is more shallow than previous models (had a new 02 plate and two sets flew in there))

Thanks for the reply but as I've said in my post I think the folded dimensions of the GoKart are a squeeze for the front boot (measured earlier today and its touch and go but think its too big).

From memory my 02 986 had a deeper boot but slightly slimmer and narrower and think it would have went in there quite nicely. If however you know for sure they'll fit then please let me know - don't really wanna spend circa £500 (lithium) and find it won't go in if you get my drift !!

Cheers Mark

Hmm interesting, I must have a large-ish stand bag then because the base of the bag is too wide compared to the depth of the boot and this is tested whilst all clubs are out of the bag too! Any link to that YouTube video?

Ah just found the video of 2 sets into a Boxster and it's the previous generation Boxster - that boot is massive compared to the 981

Product looks great, but its funny how the golf bag magically appears out of no where.

Thanks all for the replies.

The kind people at GoKart are gonna send one to me to try and fit it my boot for free - extremely helpful lady called Sandy phoned me knowing that I had posted this thread and wondered if they could help out !

I've heard their customer service/product is A+ and hope that it does fit and have agreed to take some pics and send them if aok (will post on here as well) - if not they have said they will arrange courier to collect FOC !!

Watch this space and happy new year all you PH'ers !!

Cheers Mark

Mine is a Titleist 'summer' stand bag so lightweight and small but I've just tried my large trolley bag and that fits no problem (have taken a couple of pics and will post in a bit) so surprised you struggle !

Ha ha yeah - they didn't show him wrestling the bag out of the rear seats for 10 mins and twisting his back so much so that he couldn't play golf for 6 weeks lol

I have a 997 and my Callaway 10" Tour bag fits nicely in the passenger footwell then laying across front seat ...easy in and easy out with no removal of clubs needed.

Thanks for the photos - I'm gonna need to try mine again because when I tried tucking it into the corners like that I found that I couldn't because of the ingress of what I think is the back of the rear light clusters. Perhaps I have a different spec car with the extra shallow boot option!
