All,

As per topic, I have my mind set on a MK2 996 GT3 in Speed Yellow. Does anyone have for sale, or know of one that could be 'available'?

I am in a position to buy now and would rather buy a known car off a PHer.

Thanks in advance!

Great car, but I definately want a MK 2.

I am aware of the one at Dove House, but would rather hold out for a car with Air Con. I spoke to a chap who can retrofit aircon on GT3's, but reckons it will be a £5K+ job...

Many thanks.

Top money, but no doubt a top car.

Damn it.

I was in the same situation as you mate, had to be speed yellow or guards red but as is so often the case you have to buy on condition and not colour 9 times out if 10 and as a result I ended up with a Cobalt Blue 996.2 GT3 last month. In hindsight, Cobalt should actually have been top of my list but as it was a pretty rare colour I never even thought of it!

Good luck with your search, might be worth asking over on 911UK as that's how I ended up with mine (it was never publically for sale)

Thanks for the tip on 911UK. I will hold out for a SY car for as long as I can, but I may have to settle for alternate colour. I agree that buying on condition is paramount.

Out of interest, why in particular a mk2?

Many in face prefer mk 1.

I'd hazard a guess that it's because the Mk2 is superior in every single aspect. Even the parts shared with the Mk1 are still better :-D

We have had a MK1, so wanted something a little different.

I am not keen on the CCB set up. I am led to believe that the replacement costs can be horrendous. Even if I factor in 2K for a steel set up, it makes it an even more expensive car…
