Hello everyone,

Tried launch control for the first time tonight in my 997.2 Turbo PDK. I had the PSM on. There seemed to be quite a bit of wheel spin and hesitation, low revs and then take off.

Has anyone taken PSM off to do launch control, and does it achieve a better launch in your opinion, or just keep it on?

Thanks

Left foot on brake, floor accelerator, launch light engages, release brake and your off. Leave PSM on.

On my 991 S with PDK, hit sport plus button stamp on accelerator while keeping foot on brake. Then slip foot off brake and go like a bat out of hell. On dry surface a little wheel spin only.

You never know, your low revs bit had me rethink for a second driving

BTW did you get the black w/red 997.2 turbo in the end ?

No, went for a meteor grey with black in the end. I like black, but its a pain to keep clean all of the time, and I'm too lazy to clean on a regular basis!

Ps - not low revs with my foot all the way down on the throttle, but it feels like the revs cut off, I guess whilst it tries to find traction and then launches again. Sure it's fine, perhaps my expectations were a little too high

Congrats on the new car!!!!

Sounds about right hesitation is the turbos. PSM off leaves better tyre marks;) However quickest take off in most conditions will be with it on.
