Disconnect the battery for 20 or so seconds, that will clear the adaption values in the cu.

If you don't want to disconnect battery, the Tip ecu is in the rear boot, on the firewall next to the DME, just unplug it for a bit!

Thanks
If the car has been driven for years around town would this reset sharpen up the transmission for some faster road work?

It wouldn't to start with, but after a hard drive it should sharpen up a bit.

If you pump the accelerator twice to the floor when driving, it will automatically switch to the "harshest" map

Just to be clear, this will only switch to the harshest map, it will not reset the adaption values stored in the ecu.

Easy. Once the engine/Tip warmed up drive the car harder. Use more throttle. The Tip and its controller will adapt.
