Rear main seal problem...

Call for similar experiences and advice - MY2000 Carrera 2 Cab - rear main seal and variocam cover gaskets leaking oil.

It has been into Silverstone Porsche (supplying dealer) today for investigation under warranty but Porsche are not going to cover the claim - apparently the warranty doesn't cover oil leaks.

Car bought last Sept from Silverstone with full service prior to delivery and 17k on the clock. Now at 22k so not exactly a high miler.

I've raised a call to Porsche customer service (without a return call yet) but has anyone else out there got anywhere with this on an approved OPC used car?

Others will be able to tell you better but the new porsche used car warranty now covers RMS failure.....I would complain bitterly to Porsche until they pay up................its a known manufacturing defect.
