This has just been uploaded to YouTube, it's Timo Kluck driving a 4.0 rather quickly round the Nurburgring.

He wasn't hanging around was he!

Definately a spyder at 14s. Thought the only one in that colour was in america.

Yep - which is why I asked. Looks great in Riviera. I want a Spyder even more now, though not as much as I want a GT3 4.0...

There are two Riviera Blue Spyders, one in the US and the other in Germany.

Great vid, but why doesn't he heel&toe?! That poor car's drivetrain!

Tasty bit of driving for sure. As to the answer to your question I would say - It's not his car, he's just been asked to drive it fast, he can give it back at the end of the day and sleep comfortably at night.

If you're able to heel and toe properly it becomes habitual - I find it hard not to do it, so I'm afraid I don't buy your comment (although I understand the point). Also, if you don't do it in the wet you run a much higher risk of locking up the wheels when slowing down.

The sound of those things - love it.

The lack of H&T was really grating! Felt so sorry for the car.

7Min20sec From bridge to gantry, how dare he not heel and toe, he obviously does't have a clue what he's doing! i think he needs some lessons of the pistonheads heel and toe warriors!!

Unbeatable sound. Will the 4.0 RS be the ultimate 911?

Most people who have driven or raced Porsches know that heel and toe is more about balacing the car in the critical entry to the corner , thats all , right Gooooose.

lol

+1

he wasn't diving that hard, VLN cars do a *much* quicker BTG time (on race tyres, etc), but then the GT3Rs are a *lot* quicker than the 4.0 aren't they.... wink

Maverick i don't think goose can help you!! Its not about critical entry to the corner bla bla bla its about people on a porsche forum slagging off a vln winner/porsche test driver/instructor/nurburgring expert who just done a 7min20 BtoG time on how he should be doing xyz, when probably those that or saying this would't know the difference from their own heel or their toe!!
