My gf and I are possibly looking at quitting the big smoke and moving to Bristol....are there any good (gert lush!) Porsche servicing places nearby? Who comes recommended?

Agree with Steve Bull.
Excellent service, competitive prices and great knowledge.
I've always taken my Porsches there and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Steve Bull in Devizes is the name that is always mentioned, although Devizes is quite a trek from Bristol.

Are they good with 996 Turbos as I now live in Bath and am looking for something more local than Northway for my car.

Steve Bull are good with a wide range of Porsches, they look after my 996 turbo and I know a couple of other 996 turbo owners and GT3 owners who swear by the workmanship.
Devises is a bit of a pain (I live in Swindon), but they do have a non porsche loan car and are happy to drop you at the train/bus station.

Neil Garner.
50 min from Bristol.
CV includes multiple Britcar wins in various 911 GT3s.
Friendly and helpful in my experience.

I use Marco at Porschemode in central Bristol. He's done a good job on my 996 and my Carrera
I have used Porschemode a few times, although it has not always been as good as it could have been.
An alternative is Advanced Car Care in Filton. I have not tried them though.

Advanced Car Care did the brakes (discs and pads) on my C4S about 12 months ago. They have a nice little set up and Chad was very helpful.

Have used Porschmode in the past to service my Boxster, but i'm a little nervous about leaving my P&J parked in St Pauls

Brian Woodward Motors (tel 01454 261067) is 10 miles north of Bristol.
They not your polished granite floor tiles kind of garage but is [aircooled] Porsche specialist (owns a few aircooled 911's himself inc a 930).

Give him a ring and you will find him very knowlegable and amiable indeed.

I have used him for the last 10 years or so and never had a bad exprience or ever felt that the price was too strong! wink
