Hi there

A quick question, what is the front offset on 997.2 GT3 with steel brakes please?

Those are you with GT3.2's I believe the offset is stamped on the brakes hat/bell so if someone can take a look at their's be appreciated. smile

I think that's the wheel offset, not what he wants.

Yeah its the offset stamped on the brakes hat/bell please guys.

I think 997 Turbo is 56 and my 997 C2S is 57 on the front, which makes them compatible wise on brakes.

Interested in what the steel equipped gen2 GT3's are please. smile

OK think I've found what what I need to know. GT3 disc definetely won't fit the front of a 997 C2S due to them being different offset.

But 997 Turbo and 997 C2S share the same front offset making the disc interchangable. smile

P.S. Am informed using ceramic pads on steel disc is also absolutely fine, was wondering is there is any negative to this apart from the little bit extra they cost?

Not sure it's much use, but the disc hats are marked with 3.20.0 after the part number. After that it gives minimum thickness (32).

Thanks for looking pal. smile

Porsche gave me some good info and from searching other forums it seems 997 turbo disc are a direct fit for 997 C2S with PCCB and won't upset brake balance. Full set of turbo disc are sub £800 from OPC so far cheaper than just one ceramic disc!

Can also stick with ceramic pads too which is a bonus! smile

997 GT3 disc are the wrong offset which is a shame as I wanted to slam 380mm disc in the front. frown

If you're finding the Porsche brakes aren't quite up to scratch you might consider getting Performance Friction floating discs and use their pads too. I'm sure I recently read of someone (or possibly saw a car for sale) using them with the PCCB callipers.
