Advice on what to pay for 997 C2S 2009 year
Discussion
Hi Guys,
I'm thinking about getting a 911, 997 model, probably a C2S, and probably around 2009 model year. I'm really hoping to get some advice on what is a fair price to pay when buying this kind of car privately, rather than through a dealer.
I'm not too worried options but would ideally like a car with 19" alloys, PDK, PCM, PASM, parking sensors, and possibly the Bose stereo upgrade. I'm assuming that the car's mileage would be circa 10k per year.
I am right in presuming that most C2S cars would come specced at a similar level to this?
Any advice would be very welcome with regard to pricing and valuing this kind of car with regarding to a private sale rather than a dealer sale
Cheers, Ed.

Mid £30's. a year ago I considered an 09 C2 cab with 12k from an OPC. That was at £42k with a discount waiting for negotiation. Dealers bid low on 4 year old 911's if they aren't involved in a beneficial swap. Hence you should be able to buy private simply as you will be willing to pay more than a dealer.

If you are talking a gen 2 car, then late 30's.
Really, I had a quick look a couple of months ago and they were mid £40's (C2S, PDK, Gen2, sensible miles) A friend of mine sold his 2009 gen2 about 12 months ago and only managed £43k, I kind of hoped 12 months on the price would have dropped further, however looking through the ads it dosen't appear to be the case.
I'd say around £40-42k at the moment asking price, not sure what they are actually making sold price. Been offered £38k at OPC on px.
Mine is 2009 gen 2 3.8S manual with pcm 3.0nav, PSE, chrono, park sensors etc in silver with 37500 miles and 18 months Porsche warranty and I'd be hoping for around 40 in a private sale. Looking at changing for Panamera soon and could deal if you were interested?
