996 cab Hard top std?

Did all 996 cabs come with the hard top as standard equipment or was that at extra cost?

Not sure if standard or optional, but if buying try to get one, look great for a change and I put mine over the worst winter months/frost so the soft top is protected.

Also worth noting is that the hardtops from around 2004 onwards have different latching mechanisms.

They were supplied as standard, but quite a few people never took them - either from new or as second hand cars. When I bought my car the dealer had a bunch of them...

Worth having IMHO - I've got mine fitted for the winter. If you get one buy a wheeled stand for it, they are pretty heavy to carry around
