Gen 2 dips below £70k - anyone know this car?
Discussion
Think this is the first gen 2 gt3 I've seen dip below £70k.
Seems good value (?no?)

Looks good at first glance to me.
I personally like Guards Red on newer Porsches but many don’t so may view that as a negative.
Non club sport car so again will not appeal to those wishing to track it, which most will.
With that mileage and lack of club sport package I would hazard a guess its probably be specified and used for road use mainly. No bad thing as this means lower stress on engine suspension etc. But compared to the rest of the cars on the market it is definitely considered as high mileage. Most prefer to see between 2-10k on a GT car this age. Even if that has been on the limiter for most of it!
Two main options in my view:-
1)Buy it, put maybe minimal mileage a year on it and let mileage fall back in sync with similar examples. Although this would mean little use & long time.
2)Buy it, drive it like you stole it rain wind or shine and don’t worry about the amount it will be worth when you sell it.
Obviously usual checks stand:-
HPI
Outstanding Finance
Accident Damage
Underside damage from Track offs (missing brake ducts etc)
Over Revs (range 1-6)
Tire wear (inner rears wear very quickly if used on motorways lots)
Brake disc and pad thickness
Difficult market to sell any car at this time of year. For most in this price range another 5-10 k will buy a club sport specced car with half the mileage. Dont think it will go for 70K.
The usual ‘no buckets or ceramics offer them 5 quid for it’ posters will be along shortly no doubt!

Starting to dip below £70k, I say great news, as it means one will soon be in reach for me, I just hope the spring uplift in prices doesn't push them up too much.
Someone on a different forum was saying they were offered this at high £60's (Now at OPC for £80k)
Great spec, (club sport with light weight buckets) mega colour

About half of what the new one will cost, so the newowner will probably enjoy GT3 motoring for the next couple of years at least without losing more than 5k.
Sad thing is , a dealer bought it, not a PHer.Oh and sold it for 73k

Isnt that the same Guards one that was being punted out for mid 60's by a private owner in london ?
Seen quite a few sub 70k now personally
Not sure, can't say have seen it advertised anywhere else. I know there was one at OPC Cambridge for similar money but that one has since been sold. Seen quite a few sub 70k now personally
Actually, i think this one is on a SOR, but is miles away from London so not sure if its the same car you're referring to.
Mid (middle) 60s sounds really good - where am I not looking
?? I'm guessing this is what they PX at..Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
