Think I remember seeing that 996 at Gmund Cars in about 2007?
Malton never seem to turn stock over quickly. They have had this Murcie so long its changed colour! Must be at least two years now. Dropped 5k in that time.

Would that be the advert with "Just arrived is this outstanding 1994 Porsche 968 Clubsport" as the first line!
Quite agree, totally up to them how they price their cars and from what I have read they they do have a good reputation.
But no denying some of there stock certainly hangs around, but then a lot of it is highly specialist, that 996 does look quite tasty for 50k.

I got well flamed on here about a year ago because SCOM had had a pretty standard old 911 repainted in Gulf colours up at 30K plus, and dropped it bit by bit down I think to around 17K. It was for sale for absolutely yonks.
It was never worth it in the first place and I thought it bad show to obviously over inflate a price on a car hoping some naive punter came along and bought it, based I'm guessing on them being so well known in Porsche circles.
But then again, I'm poor, they obviously are not.

Yup this has been around yonks, might have sold if it was standard, looks too chavvy.
If this is the same car then I remember seeing it advertised by a private owner at least 6 years ago iirc circa £18ks. I've seen it bounced around a few garages and auction houses since.

Give it a rest Bridey, your obsession with Portiacraft is getting tedious. In recent discussions you were outvoted comprehensively by people more than happy with Portiacraft,
It was a joke you dope! I've never said anything but praise for them as I bought a great little car from them last summer and I think Martin and Matt are great guys. Matt is a master technician.
It was a wind up at Wozy who will testify that I was teasing him for he's rather unfortunate experiences a while back.
So where do you get that I was 'out voted a while back' ?
Silly arse
Pricewise, SCOM have always been at the very top end of Indy prices however my impression is that they offer a complete service with absolute peace of mind, and although I have never bought from them (have been in correspondence with them), they are one of very few places I would buy from blind if I was more cash rich/time poor. I see them as a kind-of OPC for older/unique cars.
Whatever they do, they seem to do good business and I have never seen even the slightest hint of a dissatisfied customer.
Funnily enough, I posted this back in 2009...

Probably because it's a 996 variant that never existed plus, it doesn't help that it looks absolute pap. Waste of a GT2.http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...
