Doesn't seem 5 mins since I collected it :-

But its a few days over 3 months, I've only covered 1300 miles, I was going to use it as a daily drive, and I started to but it felt just a little too special to use it like that, which made me feel good that it meant I loved it, which I did and still do.

Every drive seems special, as I have said before I tried the new Boxster which is fabulous and any one who has one is very lucky, oh and is at least 30K better off than me. When I took the Boxster back I just said as I was leaving can I try a 991 sometime just to say I have., and that was it. I loved it after just 14 miles, I seem to love all the things people criticise, yep its big but I love the road presence, I love the whole feel big gives you it feels very planted and makes you or should I say me feel a lot more confident than I ever did in the lighter feeling Cayman/Boxsters I have had.

I can't really put it all into words. It feels so smooth in full Auto the new PDK is most definitely an improvement over the previous version I had in the Boxster. You can slide the stick over and press 'Sport Plus' and just find yourself laughing out loud to yourself, all this without been a complete tool, in fact I'd go as far as saying in some small way which won't mean a thing to those who choose the 'S', I feel I have won because even in my 3.4 if you are enjoying the sounds over 5k revs and you are in anything above 3rd on the public road you need to have a little talk to yourself, which is a shame the 'S' owners are missing out on most of the time, stealing the words from Mr Harris you have to ask yourself when you stop for a minute to rest your aching face 'do you really need any more in a road going sports car, I don't think you do'.

I love the Sports Seats +, I love the driving position, I love the new interior, I love the quality but most of all I love the silky smooth driving experience its just effortless and I can understand why people say its become a GT car, you are probably right, but I love it all the more because of it and again can understand why people would so adamantly disagree and hate that if they are a life long 911'er.

I forgive it its couple of little problems (right rear puncture (hardly its fault) and the stuck fuel filler lid, very annoying) because without doubt its just clicked with me. Honeymoon period is well over and I still love it, I went out for an hour or so this afternoon to nowhere and back and when shutting the garage door I was still smiling from ear to ear, it is very , very nice.

In summary and to to steal someone else's words again:-

' When I drive it I just want to stop for a minute and get out and look at it, but when I'm looking at it I just want to drive it again'. Don't think it gets much better than that.

Well done TH - nice to read someone really enjoying their car.

I have to say that with PASM and PDK in Sport, with the PSE I love mine as well. For motorway cruises I leave everything off and enjoy the bizarre fuel economy.

Had mine two months and 2,700 miles already!!!! Wonderful car biggrin

Nice point of view but drive it like you own it! I mean 1300miles in 3 months? Unless my other car was another "nice" car then 1300 wouldnt be enough to get my fix.

I've had mine (3.4 Cab PDK) since June and have done 4900 miles. All pleasure miles though.I don't know how you can only do 1300 in 3 months though! I too came from Boxster and am only just getting used to the 911s size (my 1st 911 mind). I've fortunately, had no problems yet. But it's a fabulous car; I just forget sometimes how good it looks and that I finally own one (I'm 51). And I'm wondering whether to keep it forever. Happy Days.
