I don't know any pubs I'd recommend in Lincoln and the parking is a nightmare there as well. There are some good places to eat - Wig & Mitre is good but expensive, Pizza Express is like all Pizza Express places, Prezzo is good and there's Ask and some other places all on the Brayford. The parking is a problem for all of these places. There are public car parks dotted around Lincoln and like anywhere your car will attract attention, and you always have the possibility of some idiot parking next to you and banging their door against your car or backing into your car. TBH I'd park on the roadside at the top of Lincoln and walk if I had to take my car (we usually take my wife's Megane which is battled scarred already!).
You could venture out into the wolds which are stunning on a lovely sunny day, book a table at The Bluebell in Belchford, have a lovely meal, and safe parking at the back of the pub. Louth also has a couple of good pubs, The Greyhound or The Wheatsheaf, no parking for the Greyhound and a smallish car park at The Wheatsheaf. There's also a good restaurant on the other side of the road in Louth but I've never been there, and I don't know what it's called.

Or you could go to Woodhall Spa - pretty little town near Horncastle. There's The Petwood Hotel which is a lovely mock tudor hotel in nice grounds with a good sized car park. Have a wander around Woodhall, you could go the Kinema in the woods and watch a film!

Totally agree with Country Boy----get out to The Wolds.
Wheatsheaf in Louth or The Bluebell in Belchford. Woodhall Spa
has a number of eating establishments and a couple of small car parks.

An added advantaged of hooning around these parts is the lack of cameras and plod to ruin your day!!

I would keep to the top of the hill for parking, probably behind the castle.

Echo Woodall Spa as well and if it crap weather check out the Kinema in the Woods for a film. Great place and very child friendly.

Not eaten in the pubs but heard good things about the Petwood

This seems to get good reviews

Go a little further east and you could take her to Skeggy.
It might be a bit bracing, though....

The only recommendation I would make if you were rash enough to go to Skegness is to head out of Skegness to Gibraltar Point, have a walk in the nature reserve, and eat at the cafe there with good parking.
I couldn't recommend any pub or restaurant in Skegness and the town itself is nothing to get excited about.

Can personally vouch for Shakesby's restaurant in Horncastle where I live - eaten there on many an occasion and child friendly

Right enough is enough - I am not taking her to skeggy for a fumble lol

We will be heading over from sheffield way to Lincoln for a spot of shopping and hopefully stopping off somewhere nice for lunch but not in Lincoln centre if we can help it....
