996 lightbulb

hello guys,
I am a new 996 C2 99 driver, well less than 6000 miles. Not really mechanically minded but once I put my mind to it anything is possible.

Now…my luggage light stopped working, I replaced the blown bulb (element was snapped), put everything back together still not working!

I will attempt to spray WD40 into the locking mechanism where the microswitch is to remove any potential dirt, but what else could it be, the Fuse diagram is beyond me

Probably the microswitch on lock as you have said, sometimes a sharp tap on inside of lock area (front carpet trim) with your hand can get it working again.

cheers for your help. Ill be having a good go at it on Monday, then the boxter red leather after. I did have a bit of a panic when I thought the fuse needed replacing.
