I bought some 15" wheels Fuchs from a pal to replace my 16" fuch, as I want to go for an earlier look.

Test fitted them this afternoon. The rear looks a little under tyred now I have had a decent look at the pics but I am pretty happy overall. Probably could do with 10mm spacers on the front too.

Cheers! Still a few bits to do and whenever I think the list is getting smaller I find something else.

Heres the list....

Early RS seats
RSR strut brace
Early RS Doorcards
Lightweight light clusters
Sunroof removal
Front splitter
Heigo cage

A few other trim bits like powder coat wiper arms and new windscreen rubber.

The car has come a long way in just under a year.

Thanks Mark. 8's front and 9's rear.

The rears are Michelin TB 215/55/15 and the fronts are nothin specials - 215/60/15.

Im going to go for Michelin TB 270/45/15 rear and 215/55/15 front.... not a lot available in 15"!

Looks great. Don't know what it looked like before but FWIW I don't look at that and think under-tyred at all. Looks spot on to me. Maybe you're comparing to what was on previously and your eye hasn't fully adjusted to the new look yet?

Got any 'before' pics for comparison?

Looks great Lee.
I'm with you on the rear sizes. While they don't look bad at the minute, the early "Hot" models had rears that were more "balloony" didn't they.

I think with the new rears that will look superb. It did anyway though... smile

I like the to-do list too. That's a lovely car you've created. thumbup

Dont know yet James, the front tyres look pretty ropey so wanted to wait until I get the new tyres. You think it will be better?

Thanks!

This is a before pic on 16's for comparison.

This pic will give an idea of what the rear looks like, a little too stretched for a rear tyre.

Thank you Mark!

A slight change of plan today, the wheels pictured on the rear are 9's and I have decided to go for 10's for the rear so a bit deeper dish and they are better offsets for my car smile

Even better Lee.

I was just googling some images of the old IROC cars before and they ran some bloomin' wide ones, so the wider the better to a certain point.

ETA - Old P'heads IROC feature. I know yours isn't going full IROC spec with wing etc, but anyway some nice old footage here. Great colours on them too.

Love looking through those pics.

I was torn between the ducktail and the IROC wing but grew up wanting a Porsche with a ducktail. Still tempted though sometimes.

Especially when I see pics like this

Nerd alert warning ,
You may be interested to know the IROC cars were originally delivered with duck tails but were changed just before the racing started .
( im leaving now , sorry ...)

have some colour pics somewhere .

Yeah, deffo stick with the ducktail.

It makes the rear arches and wheels look even wider and it just looks nicer in general.

God! What I'd give to be able to pick one car from that transporter. Great pic. cloud9

Can you imagine?!

Think I am going to change the decals to the IROC style in gold.

OT does anyone know where I can buy classic Porsche racing artwork/prints?

God that is so absolutely stunning, I really love the deeeeeeeep dish wheels. There are so many great looks for the wide body from standard to .... makes it very hard to decide. Maybe one of each is the answer.
