Strange request.

Going to be changing the R35 GTR possibly pretty soon for a GT3 possibly.

Can any let me know what is the largest size suitcase that can be fitted into the GT3 and what other storage options it has ?.

Thanks

Soft bags are the way to go, particularly if it's the RS or clubsport.

The largest Tumi carry-on bag fully expanded plus a standard laptop bag will fit in the front boot. Plenty of space in the back for loads of soft bags or a couple of sets of golf clubs.

You can get a healthy amount into a GT3 actually. I recently did a trip to Italy and back with my wife.

The front boot takes at two big squashy sports bags, and then maybe a backpack on top. Soft luggage is the key.

My car has a roll cage, so we used smaller parcles that we posted through. There is also more space than you think behind the seats in front of the roll cage (me: 5ft9" and wife 5ft6").

I've uploaded a shot of just some of the stuff we carried (yes, my face really does look like that). Two of the red bag being carried in the picture went in the front. I reckon I'm carrying about 50% of the stuff we took in total. If you don't have a roll cage in the car, it's really got plenty of space.

It was a fanstastic trip. Car is up for sale now and I am really going to miss it!

Cheers guys food for thought much appreciated
Whats is the cost of track day wheels ?

What does the servicing cost equate to on an annual basis.
I have switched to yearly servicing on the GTR based on limited mileage, so just as a comparison.

Thanks

Depending on whether it's main dealer or independent an annual service will be between £250 and £800. Later cars need only a bi-annual service. If its an older car then its up to you whether you add time related services in or stick to mileage scheduled ones.

Tyres are about the same as the GTR. The rears will last less and the fronts longer than the Nissan if they are PS2s or Super Sports and cost similar amounts of money to replace. Sport Cups are rather more compromised than the GTRs Dunlops and softer.

Brakes take less of a pounding so pads and discs will last longer.

Re your original question. A cage equipped GT3 needs soft bags but is reasonably roomy. One without a cage and with hinged seats has a lot of space in the rear. Overall as much space as the GTR but less accessible. Front boot is OK for a couple of small cases and a couple of sqaushy bags.

I can vouch for this.

We managed 6 cases of wine, a small slicing machine, 2 full size prosciutto and 3 weeks worth of clothes, bags and shoes for mrs envy.

I made do with the door pocket for my change of pants and toothbrush.

no door pockets in 7.2 GT3 IF it has lighweight bucket seats (the non folding one) as the extra padding required elminates door pockets.

otherwise 7.2 GT3 has door pockets, 7.2 3RS do not
