I've just bought a holiday home in the UK and I'm thinking about getting a car as it is an esay train journey to the airport so in the long run it would be cheaper than hiring. I fancy a 944, (I already have one and like it), on the basis it is a reliable modernish car with no depreciation, it will be garaged no busines use, no journey to work, pleasure only 3k miles a year would be ok, I am 60 Uk citizen 43 years without a claim, I like some of the figures people quote for classic insurance, but wonder if I can get it as the only car.

I don't know but it's certainly not the usual proposition so I think you will have to ring some UK based brokers and ask them. You might consider posting a similar question in the "Classic Cars & Yesterday's Heroes" forum. This is not really a Porsche question- the make of car is not particularly relevant, and a lot more people will see it there, including some people who work in the insurance industry.

You may be able to. One of the questions you often get asked by the brokers is "do you have access to another car?". The stipulation being that the Classic is not your daily driver.

ClassicLine don`t require access to a second car so i`d be ringing them for quotes. Should be under under £300 but how much under depends on your post code.
