A sad day.

As you may or may not know, I'm building my 'grand design' in the Highlands, so have moved to Cumbria for about 18 months till the place is complete.

Having had the empty Western Highland *playground* for the 911, I've been spoilt. Now I'm back to the reality of LOTS of traffic, LOTS of BIB and scameras and LOTS of very narrow lanes with cow poo and soft grass verges. I've been here a month and only been out twice in the turbo.

Watching the car depreciate (997 tt on the way and all) and not even driving it was just too much to suffer. So I enquired (and after much faff) got offered a very good price (more than I thought I'd get), so decided to sell now whilst the market is still *just* on my side.

It's been the perfect car for the Highlands, and as soon as I'm back there, I'll be buying a 'proper' car again (still have an AMV8 on order - but will look seriously at the 997 tt).

Meantime, I have my eye on a rather nice 6 month old 450 bhp RS6 which will do me, the Mrs and the dog for our trips north to the building site.

Decided the word that sums up the 996 tt is: Effortless

Have fun, drive careful.

A lovely car, suitably enjoyed by its owner.

I applaud you going for the Grand Design in Highlands, and can understand the logical course of taking a decent price for the car while you can get it.

RS6 is nice too - but don't overpay. New RS6 can only be a year away.

jeez , you didn't have that long ...just long enough to take the first hit on depreciation

Buying exotic performance motors from new , normal if you are a footballer or a lottery winner , is only rivalled by developing a casino habit . good luck , see you on a trackday soon perhaps
