More Tyre Discussion

2001 Boxster S.

Had 2 new Pirelli P Zero Rosso on the front last April, done circa 4k miles since.

2 Pirelli P Zero Asymmetric on the back 2 years old circa 8k miles.

Puncture and tear to one rear tyre, needs replacing, and Asymmetric apparently not available.

I am guessing going one Rosso one Assymetric is not advisable? Do I replace both with Rosso's or possibly switch brand?

Any suggestions.....?

You definatly don't want to mix tyres on the same axle and its often considered unadvisable to do so front to rear. Replace the rears to match the fronts and they should then wear out about the same time which leaves you free to put on whatever you want.

I now have one 265/35 - 18 Pirelli Asymetric. Done circa 5000k miles if anyone in or around Sheffield is interested.

I tried to use the classifieds but it seemed to only let me sell my car not the tyre!

Ha maybe I am too gentle but it looks almost new!
