964 Child Seat
Discussion
Has anyone managed to get a forward facing child seat in the back of a 964? Read loads of threads however none seem very conclusive..
Had an unsuccessful trip to mother care and none of the seats we tried fitted. Halfords were a waste of time and weren't even interested. Local opc are going to get one in to try, however they are a load more pricey others - not that it's an issue if it fits however wondering what other people have fitted?

I would be interested to know if you have any luck. I need one for a 993 so I guess if you find one that fits yours it should fit mine.
How nuch is the OPC charging? Do you know which model it is?
About £300-350, not 100% sure on the model but I think it's an isofix one that works with belts as the base is narrower. How nuch is the OPC charging? Do you know which model it is?
Yes, I have fitted the Concord Ultimax into the back of my 964.
Here's a link to the seat on Amazon

Here's a thread on Rennlist I started about it...

With all child seats, you'll need to pull the front seat forward to give the baby some legroom, but it works OK and I took my 18 month old son from Paris to the UK like this with a Roofbox for the pram and luggage.
For extra proof to the wife that the 964 can be a family car...

I have got a Porsche prince in the back of my 993. I would imagine that these fit the 964 too.
Sorry for the questions, but;Do you have pictures of this in place?
Did you have to remove the seatback or base?
Is the seatbelt long enough?
PS there are pics on google.

997 Targa FTW !
Anyway Dusty found this for me a while back - may help others: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mb08gStDiyE
By the way the blind housing is the piece of the Targa Roof that is a lump- I also now remind rear passengers when retracting as I thumped a guy in the forehead !
Sorry, fuzzy brain after an op! I do know it's a 997, honest. Anyway Dusty found this for me a while back - may help others: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mb08gStDiyE

We use Maxi Cosi seats for our grand kids, but generally only start toting them around after the baby phase.

Big thanks andy, ordered an ultimax which arrived today. Not fitted it in properly yet, but it fits in perfectly in the space and as quoted elsewhere does seem to be made for the car! Will get it properly clipped in at the weekend and can provide additional pics if any one wants them. Here's a link to the seat on Amazon

Apologies for bringing this thread back from the dead but I am still trying to sort out a child seat for my 12 month old daughter in my 1991 964 C2.
I believe the Maxi Cosi Priori SPS and Concord Ultimax are my best bets but I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone can help with before I trek out to the shops.
With either seat, what is the overhang like? The seats I have looked at so far overhang the seat cushion considerably and my fear is they'll rock forward under heavy deceleration i.e. a crash.
Do the European 964's have the hidden mounting points for a top tether ? If so, has anyone found a suitable seat to make use of the tether point and prevent rock ?
Id.
