gt2 at 911 virgin?
Discussion
am i right in thinking this has been for sale for a while now? is it the mileage thats putting people off?
the 911 gt2 is my dream (affordable) 911. if i sold some of my other toys i would be able to own one? is this one worth a look?
i have been thinking about a carrera 2 etc, but tbh the gt2 is the one i want, and i would prefer to just get straight into my preffered choice. it would take a few sacrifices such as selling some of my other toys. but i think it would be worth it, and i doubt gt2 will drop in price so could end up being a half decent investment!
cheers

I think Slippy has had a couple, but the one that sold at 911 Virgin last Autumn was mine, and his before that.
I saw this one (assuming you mean the one at (39k) when I picked up my 997gt3 and its fair to say it looks exceptional. Certainly worth a look if you want a GT2

awsome! im not put off by high mileage, just wondered why it was hanging around a bit longer than maybe expected.
rwd is where its at! i have driven many rwd cars with 6/700hp in the past so a gt2 in comparison is slightly tame lol. would make for some awsome fun on the road and occasional track day though!
only problem is that i would need to sell my 944 turbo, mitsubishi evo track car, caterham 7 and mk1 escort to buy it outright! but i have always wanted a gt2, and so that may be a route i take in the future, although i very much doubt this one will still be around.

Well that's the first time I have ever heard a GT2 described tame.....You driven one before ?

I would worry about getting in a gt2 with someone like this. It is a car that needs to be respected...describing it as 'tame' is not the right mentality to get in to the driver seat. Be careful when you do eventually get yourself one!
Are GT2s really that bad? I've had a 996 Turbo for a few months and find when I really push it say in second it squats down, squirms a bit and flys forward in a straight line. I love it. I suppose doing this in a GT2 could be 'more interesting'. I ask because my car advisor, my son, pushes me to consider a GT2 - I presume it's probably more car than I need.hopeydaze said:

Also have a is turbo. All I was trying to point out is that the car needs to be respected, whereas the turbo may save you if you do something stupid, the gt2 won't. ..Wasn't the black car Monkeys old one in the past that had a new engine a while back ..?
996TT's put the power down very well as they are a bit softer, try a few bumps in a GT2 and the rear goes light, you will be up a tree in no time..!
