Thought I'd drop in and say hi as I've just bought my first Porsche smile .

Been looking for a couple of months and today I put a deposit down on a '95 Polar Silver 993 C4 with Aero Kit. Driven and looked at 6 or 7 over the last couple of months and travelled half way around the country, this was by far the best I'd seen, and the dealer was a pleasure to do business with. Payed a bit more than I origanally wanted, but negotiated a fairly chunky discount and it just felt the right deal.

I now have my retirement toy, or I will have at some point next week when I collect it

Very nice. Where did you buy it and what exhausts are on it?

Looks lovely and a really nice example; personally, I'm not sure about the rear spoiler and I think I'd probably change it back to standard, but that's part of the fun, to get the car how YOU like it.
Good Luck.

Got the car from Redline in Knaresborough, a long treck from home but I looked at a couple of others on the way up in Leeds.

Its on standard exhausts, which I think I'll run with this year and maybe think about RSR's over next winter.

Yes I wasn't sure about the body kit, but it actually looks ok in the flesh, it's kind of growing on me.

They don't look standard. Assuming it's a pre vario, they should be smaller tail pipes and more oval.

I'd better check them out then when I get it. I did ask the sales guy if everything was standard, I don't know enough about them yet obviously biglaugh

If it sounds standard they are probably just chrome tips.

Nice one!

Looks beautiful and enjoy your retirement.

You can't take it with you!

I hope I am in the same position in 20 years or so.

This looks like a very high spec 993. Absolutely beautiful.

105MM wide exhaust tips were another expensive option available from Porsche. Replacement cost from Porsche circa £450.00 - £500.00.

God forbid you damage them ...... but if you do, they are made by Dansk, and getting them direct (but without Porsche on the box) is less than £180.00
