Anyone had any experience with Zimmermann discs on a 996 or 997 GT3?

They can be had for very cheap on many German websites. Just wondering if anyone has ever tried them as an alternative to OEM or other aftermarket discs like Sebro.

Not quite the same, but I had them on my 964, years ago. No problem with stopping, though one split and was replaced free of charge.

However they rusted badly on the bell section and looked awful, advertising to anyone who cared to look that I was trying to save money. This bit is painted on OEM disks.

They may be better now, but I wouldn't do it again

I had them on an Audi A4 a few years ago. They warped within 6 months and rusted on the bell area as also stated above.

Would I buy them again? No.

The most common aftermarket upgrades are Alcon or Brembo with RS29's, expensive but offer better longevity and fade resistance that stock rotors.
I did try performance friction years ago, but replace for Alcon's and never regretted it.

I used them when racing and there was no diffrence between them & genuine Porsche ones. They both warped, but no different to one another in terms of severity or hours of use. They saved me some money though.

Sebro don't make a GT3 fitment :-)

and you can get 20% of OPC oem disks.
I guess you go oem and change more often
or
Alcon
or
Girodisc

Alot of the Americans seem to rate the Giro discs for track/street use
