Tyres for my 987 ? Any recommendations ?
Discussion
Hi all I need 2 new rear tyres for my boxster 987
265 / 40 / 18
Do I just go fo another pair of Michelin pilot sport 2's which it has all round. Fronts are half worn but rears are almost illegal now. Or does anyone have any suggestions ? I can't really say how I felt about the Michelin's as I've not long had the cars and they have always been way past there best. Anyway any opinions would be very welcome.
Cheers

Got the new PS2's on yesterday £505 later ! Gulp. Please don't tell me if I had my trousers pulled down I'd rather not know
but it's a huge improvement on new rubber already so on balance money well spent.
Don't worry I got a puncture in mine after not having it very long, and the only place with a tyre was kwik fit. £400 later and several hours waiting I finally drove out of there.

That sounds like my idea of hell & altho I've never had to use them I'd be feeling worried of letting kwik fit near my alloys ! Ha. Thanks though I fel like I got an alright deal in comparison

It was one of the most painful experiences of my life, unfortunately I didnt have many options as the car was on the back of a low loader and it was the only place that had one in stock. I dont think I let the alloy out of my sight for the whole 2 hours I was stuck there. Ha. Thanks though I fel like I got an alright deal in comparison

Thats not a bad price. I normally recon on paying anything between £250 and £300 each.

they are £226 each fitted ,so I would shop some where else :-)Well sounds like I paid around about the right kind of money. My car has porsche warranty so thought best to just stick with the N rated tyres and to be honest I've driven in them abit now and they are so much better the previous rears had gone so hard and as u started to push on the rear was no where as planted as it is now.
