Hi,
I have a 1990 LHD 964 who's CCU has failed. If I change it for a RHD one, can I move the switches around (AC & Demist/Recirculated air), or do I just need to accept these positions and move the corresponding wires behind?
Also, does anyone know if these units can be repaired, and if so where?
Thanks for any advice,
Jez - Sunny Devon

I didn't realise the units were handed. I thought RHD and LHD parts were the same. I may be mistaken.

There is a chap from Norway called Torre B that posts on 911UK. He has a detail knowledge of the units and is always very helpfull.

There is no difference RHD or LHD. Could be dry joints or fuse related, some pointers discussed here

Pretty sure they are handed but I'm guessing the connections are indentical? They have different part numbers for LHD and RHD cars.

Thanks all. The units are "handed". As I look at pictures, the demist and AC buttons are switched around... I think I'll take the risk and rely on the wonderful e-bay if I cannot make it work.
Cheers
