Evening all,

Needing to get the clutch changed on my 987 boxster, can anybody recommend a good independent garage in and around Central Scotland?

Also is the clutch change an engine out job and what would be an expected amount to pay at an independent garage?

Thanks

David

Just gearbox out - approx £650+ including new RMS seal and IMS seal housing (daft not to do them whilst you're in there).

Picked up the car tonight from Motortune Shotts. Felt compelled to come on here and give the thumbs up!

Total came to £605 for the clutch, new RMS seal and new exhaust header bolts. Peter took the time to clear existing fault codes with the car, showed me the issue with the old clutch, and showed me around the multitude of other cars that he is currently working on.

All in all a great experience and made to feel like a valued customer, something that may or may not have happened at an OPC at twice the price.

I will be returning for my impending service and MOT!

Sounds like an excellent result and one that'll obviously keep you going back. That makes a mockery of OPCs that charge 3 or even 4 times the price for the same job. Bahhh!
