Question - will a 997.2 GT3 Nav / Stereo fit a 997.1....?

Want to update my ICE / Nav in my 2007 GT3 and looking at options:
1. Remove and replace with Kenwood / Alpine double din - (not an options as i think it looks better standard)
2. Install Dension for the blue tooth and Ipod connections. This is my current top option.
3. Investigate a swap out for the Gen 2 kit. Looks great and does everything required...
Any thoughts?

The GT2 thread is a giveaway to the answer though - early cars had PCM 2.1 but cars at the end of the run had 3.0, ergo there was always going to be a way to do it. The cost of a swap will be very traumatic though - given that they charged over £2k from the factory you are surely looking at £3k-£5k do do this???
