Late 05 987 boxster. Only very small but it needs sorting before it gets worse.

Ah yes sir, I am afraid that's not covered. It would seem that you have been closing the bonnet by pressing on the badge, thus scoring the metal underneath.

This is mentioned in the terms and conditions, most unfortunate.

Would you like a quote, I can probably get you 5% off if I really push?

I heard they duck out of paying for the bubbling that occurs around the door catch plates on 997's - something to do with them being " used" or such like rolleyes

Sorry to hijack, but kind of related...

My 2004 996 has some bubbling on the door sill, next to the sill plate. Is this common? Is it something I should really get looked at asap? and any chance of being covered under the aforementioned warranty?

The dealer told me similar with rust around the alu. sill trim on both sides of my car. When I took it to the approved bodyshop, they looked at the car, the paperwork (the bi-annual inspections hadn't been done on mine) and said it would not be covered.

I hope you don't get the same treatment but don't be surprised if you do. I'm perhaps wrongly assuming that you haven't got all the requisite stamps in the service book, but if you have, as far as I'm concerned you should be covered.

edited: skibum, my car was a '03 996 GT3. The car's had the work done now at a cost of around £500.00.
