2003 911 C4S - drivers electric window

Mate bought a nice example privately a couple of days ago , however the drivers electric window has stopped working the day after buying it.

I can hear the motor working , but no window movement. Passengers window and electric sunroof both work ok.

Any ideas what might be wrong ?

If you can hear the motor, almost certainly the regulator - probably snapped a wire. My turbo one went just before Christmas.

About £150 for the part (shared with the Boxster) and relatively easy to fit if you're used to some car DIY. Took me about 2 hours I think, although I'm sure I could do it in about half that the second time.

Yes more than likely the window regulator. You may need to replace the door membrane as well unless you are lucky and don't damage it when removing.

Mine was OK. Hair dryer helps getting it unstuck, and I used some mastic to stick it back down afterwards.
