maybe not a preferred colour, but with 36k miles ... and assuming nothing major needs doing

Its green, doesn't that always knock £5k off the price?

Original launch colour, I believe.

But a tip, with ruffled leather....

The green and ruffled leather I kinda like, the tip would be a showstopper for me. But for most others I presume it wouldn't.

Maybe that £5k discount is about right, most other turbos at below 40k miles are £30k plus. I'm surprised I though as its a fairly safe colour scheme (unlike some of the really loud interiors you occasionally see).

Porsche family colour. Pity it does not have the brown interior.

Love the colour.not keen on tip tbh. And grey ruffled isnt bad.
Could be caramac or orange(read porsche faded red) in there

Looks like a pre-facelift car(no glovebox), but even so, if all checks out, that's a potential bargain at that price.

Green cars are bad luck aren't they?

Green modern era cars are always harder to sell.

Having given this car a bit of thought, I think any prospective buyer of this car should definitely consider getting a detailed independent inspection done; the car is about 12 years old, and at this mileage seems too low a price, especially from a Dealer, so all may be not what it seems, who knows ?

Given that mileage seems like good value provided:

A) passed a detailed inspection and mileage backed up by history
B) you don't mind tip, green, grey interior, ruffled leather

No one has mentioned the Alpine head unit: that's not very nice either.

There's a standard 996 in the same green that I see in the car park at my gym from time to time. The colour works well in the flesh. Makes a change from silver.

Saw the Alpine unit as a positive too. Not original, but looks better than PCM1.

Assuming no major work and car checks out, still seems still a steal.

How much would it cost to put PCM back in there?

Honestly, putting PCM back in would be retarded, even pcm3 is a load of crap so why go to an effort to remove something better to put something worse in just so it matches the dash? PCM 1 is now getting on for 20 years out of date

Why - would you miss the cassette deck, zero iPod connectivity and SIM-based phone that doesn't work?

No, just the originality. But then I'm weird like that.

Fair enough but imagine the owner still has the fossil tech in a box somewhere wink
