Savanna Interior on a Cayenne??
Discussion
It divides opinion.
Porsche's habit of making everything one colour in the interior can make anything other than black or grey look garish.
I quite like red leather, but only on the seats, door cards, and a few bits of trim. In a BMW or an Audi the steering wheel, dash, carpets are usually black. so red can look OK. In a Porsche it's just too much for me.
As for Savannah - I would not buy any car with a pale interior.

A few years back I passed on a cheap VW Bora because of the swathes of pale leather inside it, but I don't find it too bad on the 911.
I don't like the way that the exterior colour is followed through onto the interior plastics, however. Not that this helps with the OP's question at all; sorry about that.

Personally the interior colour forms part of the buying process on a used car, its not the deciding factor though.
Exterior colour for me is more important along with overall condition and history.
Quick test, what would you prefer to buy. A Porsche with a tired and worn black interior or a car with a spotless savanna interior.
The answer may help you decide on the question.
Have fun.

From a resale point of view, its a no-no.
BUT, you're not buying the car to sell, but to enjoy so up to you.
I would add however, that if you are looking for a family car, or have a dog, black is MUCH easier to keep looking good.
I agree, but eventually I will have to sell it, so do not want to get stuck with a car that few want. I am not fussed about the interior colour, but it just happens to be quite a nice car. All things being equal, I would prefer a dark interior, for the reasons you mention.BUT, you're not buying the car to sell, but to enjoy so up to you.

The market will still be big enough to sell the car, but you may have to accept a slightly lower price. The best answer is to negotiate a discount upfront so when you sell it later on you have not made a loss in overall terms.Adam B said:
Is it definitely savannah and not sand beige or one of the more recent pale shades?
IMHO savannah is a real no-no as it is a really odd baby puke yellowy kind of colour, whereas sand beige can look ok if the exterior is dark
Yep, I have Sand and I much prefer it to Savannah. I am still not sure I'd have it in a Cayenne because it would end up looking dirty and scruffy more easily than black.IMHO savannah is a real no-no as it is a really odd baby puke yellowy kind of colour, whereas sand beige can look ok if the exterior is dark
In a Boxster/911 you are less likely to be carrying kids/luggage/rubbish etc so can keep it in good condition.
I don't know how true the 'resale no-no' thing is really. There are a surprising number of savannah interiors around, so quite a few people must have liked it enough to spec it when new. Perhaps it's subsequently fallen out of fashion or maybe it's just fashionable to affect horror at the sight of it these days.
Personally, I'm not keen on it, particularly when it's combined with a black steering wheel and other black interior parts. The same goes for that odd terracotta shade they do. A full Nephrite interior, I quite like though - although only if with a black or silver exterior.
