Think I have made a bit of a mistake!

Hi all
I have owned a 997.1 CS for some time now (still love it) but wanted to drop the car a little to tighten up handling and for aesthetic reasons. Choose some Eibach springs as had good write ups and not too low to upset the existing suspension.
Anyway had it fitted recently and now the car's front trim seems to scrape on most speed bumps in my area. Do I take trim off or slow right down?
Also more importantly I keep getting PASM failure, apparently one of the suspension sensors is faulty and the strut needs to be replaced (despite never having this problem before). Do I now change the two fronts or just the one? The garage tells me this does sometimes happen but as its active suspension changing just one unit would not be a problem. However I am now going to have a mix of old and new, which is not great.
Ashame as car sits nicely with the new springs but a bloody hard drive, did not realise the importance of PASM, plus the wife keeps staying "I told you it was not a good idea"
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
Many Thanks

No experience of aftermarket springs, but I had the osf coil break on our 997. Porsche centre changed both fronts as a pair, under warranty. However, once put together again the PASM wasn't happy and they ended up putting new electronic 'bits' on it to clear it. Apparently these things don't always like being disturbed.

+1 better wife. You really need to listen to your friends on PH.
Can't agree, seems an odd way to go for a road car.My suggestion? Listen to the Mrs next time!
Been out in my (gloriously standard) 997 C2S this evening, lovely 30 mile run to my TIPEC meeting. Lovely ride with PASM, nothing touched the ground

Change both front struts and have the PASM reset and see how it feels. In my experience when the PASM has an issue - it defaults to the stiffest setting until reset / rectified. So whilst this won't change your need to go slower over speed bumps - it will improve the ride quality tremendously. Of course you could go passive i.e. non PASM and change all four dampers, depending on budget etc.I have owned a 997.1 CS for some time now (still love it) but wanted to drop the car a little to tighten up handling and for aesthetic reasons.
