Then why post it in the Porsche section?

Anyway, I would guess a BMW with a 550d motor, perhaps X5 since it is 4x4?

Actually, new M3 might not be a bad shout - Alpina B3 does 0-62 in 4.2s and around 37mpg on the combined cycle?

What a knoob I am! It is the Alpina B3 - you can get XDRIVE on these now - that'll meet all of the criteria!

Thats the one, I was amazed at the figures quoted.

Alpinas tend to be softer sprung than the M - Division cars but its nearly a second quicker to sixty than the new M3 saloon and not restricted.

I shall be buying one of these at three years old for £30000.

Heres a link to the technical specifications

I have always preferred the Alpinas to the M's.

they seem to carry the sledgehammer speed ethos more suitable to the cars than big sportscars that the M division make.
IMHO
As an every day car the B3 would beat the M3 hands down, get it on a track and the M3 would win all day long.

B3 for me please and so much more exclusive. Those wheels!

But the 4WD B3 isn't being produced in right hand drive (due to packaging issues) - nor is it coming to the UK ..... redface
