Thoughts on 3.6 996

Had my 3.6 Carrera now for two weeks so thought I would post my findings.

Very quick!-used to have Ducatis until a bad accident two years ago and am surprised how quick the Porsche is considering its not the GT3 or turbo.

Ride/handling is well sorted-ride is firmer than I thought, glad its not lowered/stiffened.

Superb quality feel to it, its a pleasure to wash it!

The switchable exhaust is fantastic!, makes it feel quicker even though there is no power increase.

All in all-very happy.

I would love to hear more about the exhaust, is this to get by stringent noise checks on trackdays? What is the sound db when quiet and loud?

Its the switchable exhaust-sounds fabulous when you wind it out.

Not sure about the db rating, not intending to take it on a track at the moment.

Noticed on the sellers original invoice that it was £1700 fitted when new-bloody glad he bought it!.

you know you want one.............
