I think the new GT-R does the 0-60 is 2.7 seconds that's quite a difference, I was suprised to see the figure above 3 seconds myself, not that it matters to be honest but if your publishing numbers people will always compare them.
Porsche published figures are notoriously conservative - plenty of magazines timed the 'old' 997 Turbo S at less than 3 seconds to 60. I'm pretty sure that the new one won't be slower...

And the Porsche will do it all day, every day without needing to go back to the dealer for checks and servicing
Ive had 996 turbo bought 6 months old with 1500 miles on clock, the engine blew up in my garage,I then foolishly bought a 997 turbo brand new only for it to have catastrophic electronic issues which meant of the 8 months i had it 6 were spent on a ramp in an OPC .

Judging by the performance figures, it looks pretty much on par with the older model, therefore would be interested if any weight saving has been introduced. Not sure about the looks, pretty better in the metal..
Unladen DIN weight looks like the same approx 1605kg (+/- a pork pie)Power is up from 523bhp to 560hp (991 Turbo S)
Torque is the same as old TurboS at 700Nm
Quoted acceleration appears to be the same as old TurboS upto around 100mph
The real change will all be around the chassis changes. Improvement of 7secs at the Ring supports the objective improvements brought about by the 991 chassis.
