996 turbo noisy sunroof

I have noticed subsequent to an 18mth lay up that my sunroof operates slower than before. I put it down to getting old/gummed up due to lack of use.

Whilst operating it repeatedly to see if that loosened it off I discovered the "tilt" feature Duh I had the car 6 years before discovering the sunroof tilts as well as slides


I have also noticed that wind-noise at speed has suddenly got fairly serious.

At 100mph it is fairly loud, at 150mph it sounds like the roof has parted company.

I am going to try & get someone to slide (and tilt ! ) the roof whilst I watch from outside. When closed it looks fairly flush & the seal looks OK, any ideas whether it maybe just requires a new seal, or is this likely to be a costly glitch ?
