I have recently got a warning message to say service is due in 30 days on my Cayman R which is now at 8.5k miles but is not 2 years old until end of Spetember which is when it was registered in 2011.

Is the first service due 2 years from manufacture date (which I dont know) or from when car was registered new at dealer?

From new registration.

Mines doing the same, OPC says to ignore it and they'll reset it at service.
