how often do you need to clean the idle stability valve on a 993?

cleaned mine today - much better

No idea how frequent but it obviously works, considering the engine spec and RS clutch & flywheel getting a steady idle is a chore.

OK, I plead ignorance. What - and more importantly - where is the idle stability valve? And how do you clean it? I don't appear to be having difficulties with idling at the moment - sounds even and smooth - but now you've got me alerted to a potential problem!
