cheers for such a quick response - any idea how accurate the speed is on the digital display in comparison to the speedo? oh and how much a uk tacho costs?
basically the idea is to keep the speedo in km so that the mileage - or should i say kilometreage... stays un affected.
just crap at converting mph kph - and the GF is worse! she'll get pulled on the m6 doing 70kph with a wagon up her ass....;-)

A second hand tacho is about £200~£250, not sure about a new one, got to be ££££. I bought one on e-bay a while ago but I haven't installed it (my maths'got better and I'm lazy!)
It is meant to be more accurate than the analogue clock (which has +/- 5% accuracy)
You've got the idea, if you change the speedo, and therefore the odometer, selling the car becomes more difficult. You can change to mph tacho now, and change it back to kmph one when you come to sell, no one will know!
