The non-PCM phone module was apparently designed to be compatible with Nokia only, so you cannot upload contacts, last calls etc.

Apparently there is an ap that gives the iPhone the appearance of a Nokia bluetooth connection allowing full compatibility.

Anyone come across this and know what ap this might be?

Thanks!

the iPhone doesn't work properly anyway with my contacts list - it loads everything to the letter N and then gives up - which is a little annoying - funnily enough, it was perfect with iOS 4.0 - upgrade killed it!

Frustrating Khushy - you have to pick friends in the first half of the alphabet!

Annoying when it works perfectly on a £16k Renault...

You can work around it. My iphone 5 works perfectly with phone prep Bluetooth.

You need your phone and another old phone with the same contacts data on it. In my case my old Sony Xperia.

Pair the iphone with the car then upload the contacts list from the other phone. You can use a laptop too if you have to.

All contacts transferred and available and the phone pairs like it should.
