Hi all
What's the best option for tyres for my GT3, I do about about 9 track days and its a second car so was thinking Pilot Sport Cups, is there anything else worth considering? Also will it be ok to run cups on the back and pilot sports on the front until they're worn out?
Thanks

t!I would NOT mix cups and sports on the same chassis.
Have you looked at the pilot super sports?

I've read a bit about super sports, is there much difference performance wise to cups?
Biggest difference is sidewall stiffness. Cups and Corsas have stiff sidewalls, gives a lot more confidence at turn in and when sliding around. SuperSports otherwise are awesome and last forever in comparison,Gibbo205 said:

Supersports are NOT NEARLY as good as cups on track . Night and day difference .
Use car as intended , stick with cups .
But what Cups? N spec Cups are nowhere as good as normal Cups. 997 baller 19" sizes are only available in N spec last time I looked. If that situation still remains then its not quite so simple as the performance gap is small but the trade in usability not on track is massively in favour of the supersport. Use car as intended , stick with cups .
Data I've seen suggests about a second difference between N spec Cups and supersports (once scrubbed in, not day one) on an average 2 min lap.
Track use only......slicks FTW.

Corsa fine as a DD, not bad in wet either, only when cold do they get slippy. Cups give best track times, but useless in wet.
I am considering getting a set for DD use and about 6-8 track days a year. I do 20,000kms a year with about 60% motorway miles, so they might not last that long. I was considering running them over the coming summer where temps are 8 degrees to 30. Just not sure about them in the wet or how they will wear.Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
