I'm going to need to sell my C4S before my 991 GT3 arrives and the other thread about what to look out for when buying a 997 C4S got me thinking about making mine look its best.

Anyone have any indicative prices for the cost of a respray of::
1. Bonnet and front wings
2. Full front end
3. Full car
??

Also, what's the likely cost difference between getting this done at my local (and excellent) bodyshop, as opposed to the appropriate Porsche approved bodyshop?
wink

We once had a visit to a Porsche approved body shop, and for each and every car that the OPC sold second hand they did a complete front end: wings, bonnet and bumper off. They reckoned about 13 hours work in total + paint. So it should be quite cheap.

Thanks - anyone had a respray recently or care to estimate costs?!

Not all Porsche approved bodyshops are equal but I would always use one over any other bodyshop. Subject to annual inspections, the work has a Porsche Approved Lifetime bodywork repair warranty. Unless the bodywork is really bad, I would leave the car as is.

By coincidence I can tell you a figure for the standard front end that they do on approved per the description, above. . Mine is in for a front lid respray because of a pain defect. Covered under warranty but they asked if they wanted the cone and wings done at my expense because would work out cheaper given they has to do te lid anyway. So they quoted me £400 for these bits, saying whole lot is normally £900

This is for a 987 in GT Silver but assume model and colour don't change things much

Hi mate,

I am about to do an update to my turbo log but my rear bumper/valance respray was 720 inc. quite a lot of fluffing around though as I had some serious bite marks to remove before it was repainted.

I have been quoted 120 inc to also do the rear wheel arches.

When I had the front bumper done on my boxster it was about the same as the turbo rear bumper.

Steve arbor from tonbridge coachworks will give you a quick quote if you ping him some photos of the problem via email

I did consider cheaper options but I wanted to retain the Porsche paint warranty and tonbridge are great, they can pick up and drop off the car or provide courtesy.
