A week ago yesterday I picked up my first 966 Turbo, having had a 996 C2 cab previously. Sadly there was a five year gap due to children, house moves and other 'real world' admin.
My original plan was to get a sorted 996 C4S or a 997 C2S, however due to fears around the reliability and depreciation, I went for the 996 Turbo. Healthy man maths also talked the budget up to £30k.
In the end I went for this RSJ car, Thanks to Joel and Darren, first class preparation and great service, I can't recomend them enough if you live in the Thames Vally and your in the market for a second hand Porsche.

I have a tank full super unleaded and I am looking forward to getting to know her!
First impressions. The acceleration is brutal....

Congratulations and nice choice. My original plan was to get a sorted 996 C4S or a 997 C2S, however due to fears around the reliability and depreciation, I went for the 996 Turbo. Healthy man maths also talked the budget up to £30k.

I also went for a 996 turbo (X50) in Slate Grey from RSJ. The service and ongoing after service from from Joel, Darren and Marin has been fantastic.
Roll on 14 months and it's still staggeringly quick. Just had a great afternoon out driving it! Write up here plus any excuse for a shot!

Congratulations!
They are awesome machines, drive it as much as you can, watch the heavy right foot though, they warp speed into silly figures so quickly...., 6 months into ownership for me and I still smile to myself every time I go near myn! Can't believe I own a 911 Turbo!
Shameless 996 Turbo pic opportunity's can't be missed
