Problem with wipers on my CAYENNE

Wipers are not working properly for the past week. Car is a 2004 KN S . When I switch them on the arms move and judder but only advance say 1/8 th of the arc and stop there. When I switch them off and on again they return to the park position.

Any ideas

Blocked drain tubes interefering with control unit ?

faulty rain sensor ?

linkeage ?

other cause ?

Has anyone experienced this and found the cause !

Update and solution.

Under Extended Warranty Cayenne recovered 170 miles to OPC. Fault was due to a broken piece of the linkeage on the drivers side, discovered when the Porsche Assist Man removed the covers. Repaired and I collected the car last week. All's well now.
