Hey guys

Wonder if anyone can help me on this issue,

When I close the drivers door the window doesn't drop down slightly to allow the door to fully close instead the glass bounces off the trim and the door only catches half the latch..

Only way it will close fully is when I pull on the door handle slightly so the glass drops then I have to quickly close door in,

If I pull on interior & exterior door handle slightly, the glass drops slightly as it should.

Anyone??

Regards

I've also tried the window reset procedure. Still no luck.

Sounds like its more and likely the door latch/lock that's at fault when the window starts playing up
as you have described

The door lock unit has a microswitch to detect door open/closed - manually operate the latch (with a screwdriver or similar) and the switch should be heard/felt (compare it to the other side for reference) the microswitch seal fails and the switch fails soon after; new lock is the quickest fix. I have repaired locks by swapping the microswitch (its only labour then and I have a few locks to choose bits from) whoever fixes it make sure the inner panel is in good condition as water leaks can't be ruled out after.
