I bought my 993 from Paragon, so never met the previous keeper. I do however know that she must be a very fragrant lady, both from her name on the V5, Mrs Truelove (I kid you not; is she a PHer by any chance?)and the fact that I keep smelling perfume when I am driving the car, so it is probably ingrained in the interior trim. This does not seem to coincide with the vents or windows being opened.

I have given the interior several good cleanings, but without success. Does anyone have any bright ideas on any cleaning product that would solve this problem, or is the car just haunted by the spirit of it's last owner?

Could try a one of those little blue gel in a bag type things that neutralise all odours? Cannot remember the name.

Or you could start wearing perfume yourself, if you cannot beat them, join them I say!

You can get some leather cleaner & conditioner for your seats that has a "leathery" smell which should do the job. Its called liquid leather.

Lucky the previous owner wasn't called Pepé Le Pew

Kouros - mate...the stinkiest eau de cologne known to man. Smear it liberally on yourself. After that you won't be able smell anything when you get in the car.

"Neutradol" performs wonders for the rancid bangers my old man transforms into little gems!

Vindaloo + Kouros = only rapidly depreciating 993 in northern hemisphere!

Thanks for all the other suggestions. Now, where did I put my koala?
