Hi,

Looking to pick up my GT3 today and have two good quotes, one is from the above company and te other is from CCI who I know are very good.

The CCI one is slightly higher in price which is fine, however it's limited to 5 trackdays whereas the Equity Red Star cover is unlimited trackdays... I'm probably unlikely to do much more than 5 trackdays but don't want that to limit my fun.

If Equity Red Star are fairly good in people's experience (experience of claims and customer service) then I'll go with them, if not then I'll stick to what I know.

Should point out the CCI policy is underwritten by Aviva.

Thanks,
James

Hello.
I insure my Porsche with Classicline. I was for years previously with LV and although they gave me my cheapest ever quote this year for 6K miles pa I went with Classicline.
The main reason was that LV would not give me an agreed value, whereas with Classicline it was no problem.
The premium was slightly more for 3K miles pa but that is no problem for me.
I have heard nothing but good from other people about Classicline including one person that had a major claim. Also, they seem pretty flexible and seem to deal with people as individuals unlike some of the big companies.
Good Luck.

I had a shocking experience when i claimed with Equity Red Star after my wheels were nicked.

Slow to get the car picked up - said it needed specialist lifting !!

Argued everything with me even though i had written evidence prior to picking the car up what tyres were on it and tread depths (wheels were stolen within 3 weeks of picking the car up)

Tried to put lower rated tyres on it than recommended and wanted to put budgets on it (an M6 byw)

Overall i was without a car for a month.

When i looked at the Porsche they were still cheapest but i went with Aviva in the end.

Horses for courses i guess, some will have good experience others wont.

Having said that their Flux/Equity star breakdown cover was second to none when i did need it so i bought that seperatly from them !

Citori - was that underwritten through ERS though?

The experience above with your M6 is what puts me off... I'd rather not just go for the cheapest policy when tracking a 997 GT3!

Any more?

Cheers,
James

I had my 996T insured with them.

I had to make a claim for vandalism requiring roof and rear wing to be resprayed.

Very quick and easy. They had it done at Dick Lovett Spraymaster (who are definitely not cheap!), no questions asked.
